Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is a model and actor. Following her small debut role as an archaeologist in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, 1989's Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character - in A View to a Kill (Bond film, 1985), she went onto perform the role of Nazisympathizing Elsa Schneider. There were also roles for Siobhan Dovan as Charlotte in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody started modelling after she was approached. The result was that it turned out to be a lucrative career. Doody was very strict about not doing the glamorous work or doing nude. The rule was extended to the acting profession. In 1985, following being noticed by the directors of casting for a James Bond new film, Doody took a small part in Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody is listed in John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as being one of the 12 top actors from 1986. 38. Doody was still only 18 years old at the time of her first appearance in the Bond part. As of today she's the newest Bond girl. The year 1987 was the time Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying in which she portrayed IRA Member Siobhan Donovan. Doody was unspoken as the wife of Archibald Craven Lilias during his film of a dream, the 1987 adaptation to The Secret Garden. In a Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, she played Sapsorrow alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. Her first appearance was in the movie Taffin alongside Pierce Brosnan. Next, she portrayed the role of Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist and Nazi-sympathizer opposite Harrison Ford. Doody appeared alongside Sean Connery in the film, as Indy's dad. Doody costarred with Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was an inspiration for the Hitler Diaries publishing scam. Doody then relocated to Hollywood. She was chosen to replace Cybill Shepard as L'Oreal spokeswoman and was later cast alongside Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his wife and agent as Flannery's girlfriend and agent in Major League II. Doody's first appearance on the screen was in 2003, when Michael Caine played Doody in an uncredited role. In 2004, Doody appeared alongside Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody was in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), a pamphlet describing the Holocaust. Doody appeared in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. The following year, she had been scheduled to take on the role of lead on The Asphyx remake, but this project did not go ahead. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. The show also featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). The Almeria tierra de film award was presented to her on the 21st of November in 2018. The actress also was given a star at the Almeria Walk Of Fame.
